Anyone living in West Cornwall or on the Isles of Scilly has the chance to speak remotely to their MP through both Facebook Live and Zoom over the next fortnight.
With lockdown restrictions still in place, Derek Thomas is running a drop-in surgery through Zoom on Thursday, 28th May from 5.15 to 6pm and a Facebook Live session the following Thursday, 4th June, again from 5.15 to 6pm.
Mr Thomas said: Zoom, as a ‘face-to-face’ communication tool is obviously the preferred option but it does limit the numbers of people able to take part. If you’d like to take part in the Zoom event, simply email [email protected] with your name and address by next Wednesday, 27th May.
"People selected on a first come first served basis will be notified by the end of the day and there is no need to mention in advance what subject you would like to discuss.
“I’ve held several Facebook Live sessions over the past few weeks and they’ve proved to be a really good way of finding out exactly what people are thinking and what concerns them as they deal with the lockdown.
“The Zoom session will be the first one I’ve hosted for constituents and I hope that this will prove equally successful.”
