Today the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill was introduced to Parliament.
This bill is a great opportunity for resolving the housing crisis in Cornwall, and I spoke in the debate pushing for it to support housing that is
• Accessible
Councils need the power to restrict new homes to local residents
• Affordable
We need to take tenants’ records of paying rent as proof that they can afford mortgages
• Healthy
We need to replace poor housing that affects health, education and employment opportunities.
